Mrs. Helen Lo invited some of us to her new flat on October 28, 2010. To me, her home is much larger than mine. The white sitting room is quite big with a large television set, a potted plant without flowers and an L-shaped white sofa on which five to six people can sit.
There are nice souvenirs bought from overseas, one of which is a crystal flower. At the ceiling we find an interesting intestine-like electric light with six bulbs inside.
There is an open kitchen. The long bench separating the sitting room from the kitchen can be used as a dining table. What we notice on this bench-table are the coffee-maker, glasses, a plate of fruits, a cold water-bottle, a hot-water heater and a rice-cooker. Helen put her lap-top computer on the same bench which means that it is also her working table.
Helen served us with radish, a drink of 羅漢果 and some potato chips.
From my observation, Helen or her daughter likes Maruko (小丸子) because there is a clock with this lovely doll on the kitchen bench. Helen loves eating bananas, green pears and dragon fruit (火龍果).
We could not see Helen’s cooking skill that day because she invited us to Yum Cha at a nearby restaurant where we were joined by other colleagues.
