What is going to be displayed up there on the bridge this year?
The large photo shows a brand-new beautiful MINI cooper displayed at festival Walk as the first prize of Lucky Draw. The very first mini cooper was made in 1961. My elder brother owned one in the 70’s.
The production of mini cooper ceased in the year 2000 and the New MINI Cooper emerged. Here it is in the photo! These new Coopers are bigger in size, more trendy, but can maintain the original image of the old series.
Today we passed Kowloon Tong. We thought it would be nice to take a photo of the Christmas tree at Festival Walk. It is the tallest of all in our shopping centres in
Many people here took photos. Among them I was one.
The two white ducks were like husband and wife because they went walking together while the other two were foreigners because they had mixed colours, light brown-and-white and black-and-white.
The ducks were relatively bigger and stronger, so when we threw bread and lumps of pineapple (very expensive stuff) to them, the ducks were always on the upper hand!
Watching these lovely ducks and birds in this park was enjoyable. Their agile movement of chasing the food we fed them made us laugh a lot!
In another corner, some sea gulls had landed in front of the camera and ducks were swimming in areas of water closer to shore. They were at that time very busy finding food for their dinner.

At Great Uncle’s house, Abby was trained to share jelly with adults. First she picked a lump of jelly and the people around her shouted to Abby to give it to her mother, Connie first. Abby was willing to do so.
The other pieces Abby picked up went into Philip’s mouth, my wife’s and mine. Then Abby got her jelly last.
In this lesson, Abby learned to respect her parents, grand-parents by sharing food with them and giving them first. She learned to be patient and waited for her own turn.

Museums are usually made of stone, or concrete or steel and glass. Seldom can we see a museum made of timber. Rotorua Museum of Art and History is this type of timber-made museums which is as magnificent as a palace. I like its outlook and the colour of its roofs, orange to golden. The small towers at its roof-tops make it look extraordinary. The long windows and the decorations on the outside walls turn it into a modest, traditional old building in early times.
In front of it is a grass lawn with a carpet of short grass. Ying Ping and Ho Keung took a nice photo with arms crossing each other. It seems to me that they returned to the time they first met. They both set up a very good pose before the camera.
Opposite to this grand museum was a lonely house, not very big, but comfortable enough for a small family. I like it too!
Abby當晚在大伯公家裏(一個新環境中), 不受約束地去探索這塊小天地(客廳和飯廳). 以下是Tony在客廳和飯廳拍回來的照片!
(1) Abby 把頭伏在飯廳中其中一張椅上.
原因是: 她每次做錯事, 被駡的時候, 會做這個動作. 相信她讓大人知道她已經知錯了!
情報回來是當晚Abby手執其中一個遙控器, 按下其中一粒按鈕, 竟然把客廳的冷氣機弄著了!
另外一次她用遙控器, 把其他人正在觀看著的電視台轉了!
Abby實在很喜歡按鈕, 無論家中的電話, 電視機遙控器, 都是她的恩物!
(2) Abby在自助餐食物擺放的一端坐在地上.
我不明白她在做什麼. 因為她很少坐在地上的, 難道她在那裡等著吃!
(3) Abby 在電視機附近徘徊, 也間中透過玻璃, 看看公公婆婆在做什麼.
究竟Abby當時正想做什麼呢?
(4) Abby 眼光銳利, 發現電視機前有一個灰色喇叭箱, 上面有個手挽, 連忙把手伸進去.
這個箱實在太重了, 相信她一定無能力把它提起的.
(5) Abby正在做什麼呢?
兄長的花園不在天台, 也不在地面, 而是在不高不矮的樓層. 神奇吧! 在他生日當晚, 我們一家大小, 齊齊前往祝賀. 吃自助生日聖誕大餐不在話下.
在花園中的植物, 有主角, 也有配角. 植物主角是有射燈照射著的.
當晚的主角是楊桃, 檸檬. 配角有很多, 不能盡錄!

(1) 羊齒科植物 - Fern (a Dryopteris species)
(2) 蘭花 - the flower of an orchid
聖誕紅 - Poinsettia (Euphorbia pulcherrima )
(HK people call it "Christmas Flower")
(3) 仙人掌一種 - a succulent/cactus, probably a Euphorbia species (Family Euphorbiaceae)
(4) 檸檬 Citrus species
(5) 楊桃 - Carambola (scientific name: Averrhoa carambola). Often called by common name Star-Fruit. (7) Croton (Codiaeum variegatum)
Ngong Ping 360 will reopen on December 31st. These days its stations at Tung Chung and Ngong Ping were crowded with the relatives of the MTR staffs because they can have free rides for tests of Cable cars.I discover that the cable cars at Rotorua, New Zealand, look very much like ours of Ngong Ping 360. Do you agree with me?
On New Year Eve our IFC (International Financial Centre), second phase, will perform a small firework-like show together with multimedia lightings and music. The show will last for two minutes. The highlight of the show will fall on the twenty second fire-and-smoke count down show on the outside wall of this tall building.

There were cable cars running up and down its slope to save people’s energy of walking. Yin Ping and Ho Keung had the leisure of sitting back in a café looking at the beautiful sceneries around the lake and sipping from their cups of coffee or tea. How relaxing they were!
After the drink, Yin Ping was able to “direct” the cable cars to go up or down the slopes with her magic hands.
Some people were taking chairlifts to the top of the hill to take the gravity ride on 3-wheel carts with braking and steering systems down the slopes – A world’s ”first” designed game in Rotorua, called the luge.
(4) At the play-site inside Ma On Shan Central Park, Abby ducked down when I was taking a photo of her with my camera. Do you know why? It was simply because she found that I was bending down and so she imitated my pose (有樣學樣). She does not understand that I have to make myself shorter to take a better photo of her.
(5) At CU on the day when graduation photos were taken, Abby came to my side. She was very interested in looking at the photo I had just taken. She likes to look at the photo on the LCD screen of my camera whenever I am with her.
(6) Abby was curious to see Tony wearing the square-top hat on the day at CU. She came close to Tony who was sitting on the ground ready for a photo taken. She touched the hat gently, without taking it off. Touching the hat was better than seizing it. Good Abby!
(1) Once Abby went past the the entrance hall to Shatin KCR Station. At that time, an overhead projector was sending out images of games on the floor. We placed Abby in that area. At first she was walking about and over the image. Later she sat down and looked at the interesting pictures around her. She was so wise to sit down. I guessed she found it too troublesome to walk about and chase after the moving cartoons or figures. She marveled at the changes of the images and was totally absorbed in the “Game”.
(2) Abby likes to smell things such as leather, pre-moist paper-towel and anything that carries fragrance. When she gets hold of grandma’s leather bag of keys, she will put it near her nose and smell it. In restaurants, she loves to smell the wet paper-towel after her hands were wiped with it. I believe she will certainly buy a lot of perfume and rub it all over her body when she grows up!
(3) Abby knows the numbers “1” and “5”. When she hears people calling “one”, she will raise her fore-finger to show “1” and when people say, “Give me five”, she will show her palm in the “upright” position to show the “5”!
