Last Year on December 8th, we attended the 63rd Congregation for the Conferment of Degrees at Sir Run Run Shaw Hall. Connie received her Master Degree in Social Science. Before this official ceremony, the Faculty of Social Science held a smaller one in the morning. Many photos were taken. In the actual Congregation, after the speeches by the Dean of the
Connie took the course for 3 years by part-time. In one of the years, she was so lucky that she got a scholarship from HSBC. We should be proud of her brilliant academic performance as well as her outstanding writings and interviews with the sponsors.
The photos here have not been posted so far until today when Tony got his Master Degree too.

Congratulations to Connie and the proud parents! It must have taken lots of discipline, hard work and perseverence for the achievement and honour. We always think that Connie is very good in writings and expression of her thoughts, judging by her blogs.

The name of the hall "Run Run Shaw" is quite funny.
I forget to put "Sir" in front of "Run Run Shaw".

Sir Run Run Shaw Hall (邵逸夫堂) is a theatre-like hall with a big stage. It can hold a thousand or more spectators. I guess it is a multi-purpose hall where plays, orchestras, meetings and presentation ceremonies can be held.
yes, dad, you are right about SRRS Hall. Plus a lot of drama performances too. I spent a lot of time there, participating in a number of drama rehearsals and performances back in the college days...
Thank you for the information, we remember him as the boss of a very big and successful film company. Every photo of him in the newspapers was him being escorted by two young actresses, one at each side.
