Burj Khalifa

At United Arab Emirates, Burj Dubai Skyscraper, ranked yesterday, January 4th , 2010 as the tallest building in the world. It has been renamed as Burj Khalifa. It took a total of six years to complete. Its height is 828 metres (2715 feet) with 162 floors. Surrounding this building is an 11 - hectare park.


There were fireworks, laser, light and fountain shows during its grand opening. Sightseeing platform is located at its 124th floor. There the visibility can be 80 kilometres when the sky is clear. The residential flats inside can house twelve thousand people.

It is a big human achievement although to us this is "剎那光輝". It is a building which needs high and expensive maintanence. We feel a bit scary about its height and are glad that we don't have the money resource to consider visiting it.
