When it was ten o’clock, we took Abby down to the nearby shopping centre.
We placed Abby on the ground, took her by one hand and let her walk on the long footbridge that flied over the road below. We soon reached a fountain and lifted Abby up so that she could see the water shooting up from the jets. Next we turned Abby towards some flowers that grew in large pots in the centre. Flowers were no longer new to her.
Next we took a short walk at a small park below. I led Abby along the paths of the park. We did not stay long because the sunshine was piercing our skin. Quickly we turned back to the shopping centre which was much cooler. We went upstairs into a supermarket. We did not buy anything. We let Abby hold an orange for a second or two, but not those water-melons.
We planned to buy some rice from “Fairwood”, but it was still early. While we were waiting, I took Abby into the restaurant. She began to wave to the people inside and uttered some sounds to attract their attention. Most of the people found this little child very funny.
Two boxes of rice were our lunch. We gave Abby some rice with egg plus vermicelli, some minced vegetables and sausages to eat. Soon we all drank water from cups.
After lunch, we watched a little television and flied the paper planes for a while.
