A Red Box in Kowloon Bay

Except on foggy days, Mega Box can be seen a long way from places on the opposite shore on Hong Kong Island such as North Point or Taikoo Shing because of its striking red colour.

I took this photo when I was travelling on a tunnel-bus running on Kwun Tong By-pass. The building itself was really box-like. It seems to be assembled from rectangular blocks of different sizes. The most interesting thing about the building is that people can see its inside during night-time through the arch-like huge window from outside. This is similar to some gift boxes with transparent windows whixh let people see what is inside right away without opening them.

A big patch of red among all the greys. Whether it is "a beauty" or "an eyesore" has to be left for individual taste.
