I am extremely happy to discover this Richmond – San Rafael Bridge (at centre) from an aerial photo taken by Tony on an Air Canada plane flying overhead Richmond, SFO towards Vancouver.

Obviously enough, this 8.9 km bridge links up San Rafael and Richmond. At the time it was built, it was one of the world's longest bridges. The low budget bridge spans two principal ship channels and has two separate major spans, each of the cantilever type. Both main cantilever sections were designed identically, giving the bridge a "roller coaster" appearance and also the nickname "roller coaster span". People say that it looks like a "bent coat hanger". After it was completed, many were disappointed when they compared it with of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Bay Bridge in respects to engineering and historical marvels.

Marvellous photo, awesome! It is a very long and beautiful bridge.
As well as that when we see the clouds over the land, we could see the wonderful craft of our Heavenly Father!
