Yesterday I tasted the cookies my sister-in-law and husband brought us from New Zealand.Each year at Chinese New Year we often eat butter cookies of Denmark, but before Chinese New Year this year we can try a new taste of cookies of New Zealand.
Small chocolate chips inserted into cookies are welcoming enough to me. Kiwi fruit added inside cookies this time gave me a new stunning feeling.
The bite of such cookies was a kind of interesting feeling of “soft-hard-soft”. The first “soft” feeling went to the outer layer of shortbread, the “hard” to the chocolate bits and the second “soft” to the juicy kiwi fruit inside. The good taste of kiwi fruit, chocolate and shortbread lingered on in my mind all through the night yesterday.
