After Loretta had bought a pack of “ ball-ball” cakes from a shop at City One, she decided to go to Yaumati to buy moulds for making such cakes under my guidance.On a 281A bus, I discovered these beautiful seats. Not only the colour of these seats was appealing to the eyes, the cartoon figures on them were cute. The fabrics of the covering looked plastic. Each seat looks in itself like a present wrapped up in beautiful paper.
It was raining outside the bus. The roads were congested. It took longer time to reach the target shops in Shanghai Street. The first shop we went in was “I Love Cake”. Having looking around for a while, we decided to take a look at another shop near by. In this second shop, Loretta bought quite a number of things and utensils – one mould for “ball-ball” cakes (雞蛋仔), another mould for “square partition” cakes (格仔餅), a brush, a plastic word + picture-making plate for a birthday cake, small cake paper holders and an interesting teaching aid for her children, the Chinese weighing device (中國秤+錘). Loretta will soon become busy in making those funny cakes in her kitchen. Her children, husband, brother, parents and in-laws will enjoy the cakes in the near future.

We always appreciate that "things" ( development, infrastructure, city planning, environment improvment etc.) happen in Hong Kong very fast and good. It certainly lives up to its name of super-efficiency.
We have tried Loretta's fruit cake and must say that it is very yummy. We reckon it is better than those bought from cake shops. If you come to Australia again, she will be able to make some for you to try. Loretta said you had cared for her very much during her stay in Hong Kong. You are a wonderful uncle.
