Purple Allamanda (紫嬋)

I was lucky enough yesterday in finding these beautiful flowers grown in a small white pot in Shun Lee Estate.

I like these flowers because

[1] The petals were in an attractive purplish red colour.

[2] Their texture was like that of velvet (天鵝絨) - smooth, thick and silky.









[3] The five petals are distinct and simple in shape.

[4] The flowers are proportionally much bigger than the leaves.

[5] The flowers look healthy and strong.

[6] The flowers appear to be round-edged red / purple stars.
