I was pleased to be at New Century Plaza yesterday, not only to attend a tea lunch hosted by my sister-in-law YP and her husband MS, but also to marvel at the cartoon figures and decorations of “崖上的波兒”.The hanging colourful jelly-fish, the submarine (I hope I do not make a mistake here) and the space together gave me a wonderful feeling that I was at the bottom of the sea watching the sea animals and undersea ships pass overhead.
The banners “如魚得水” and “年年有餘” added our new year wishes. It was so interesting to find the letters “魚” and “餘” replaced by “魚公主”.
The electronic peach-blossom trees and lanterns beside the escalators created good atmosphere to the coming Chinese New Year.
