Seventh Day in Beijing Olympics (4 Gold Medals)

Yesterday, China won 4 Gold medals, making a total of 26 “Gold” in the Olympics.

The first Gold medal went to CAO Lei (曹磊) who took part in 75 kg Women’s Weightlifting competition. She broke the Olympic Record of lifting a total weight of 282 kg (Snatch: 128 kg, Clean & Jerk: 154 kg).

The second Gold medal went to Judo player, 佟文, who competed in the 75kg class of Judo for Women. Her opponent was a Japanese athlete who had the same size as hers. Our Chinese athlete was able to bring the Japanese onto the ground within the last 15 seconds before the match ended.

The third Gold medal went to 陸永 who joined the 78 kg Men’s Weightlifting competition. Both he and his opponent lifted the same weight. Owing to his lighter weight, he got the championship.

The fourth Gold medal went to于洋 and 杜婧. They won the champion title in the Women’s Doubles in Badminton. These two young girls were full of confidence and energy. They looked very much like in build and hair-style. They really looked like boys!
