My Aces (4) Chinese Dancers

My past students, Venice Lau (centre in top photo) and Mandy Lip (centre in second photo) appeared in Chinese Dances on both 35th and 40th Anniversary Nites of CCSC. This year under their leadership, another four Form 2 students joined the Dance.

It was a dance of a minority group/tribe in China called Miao Zu (苗族). The red costumes were gorgeous. The silvery hats were equally beautiful with horns of bulls. The dress when swung could form round umbrellas. The dance was traditional and the dancers usually raised their hands in mid-air in “V” shaped poses.

The Dance was a successful one and very professional because Mandy and Venice had taught the young schoolmates the skills of dancing and the latter had learned fast. Thanks to Mandy and Venice for borrowing the costumes from their dancing organization.

The last photos showed some bulls running towards us (the audience at Anniversary Nite).
