Yesterday Ho Keung and Yin Ping came to Hong Kong by plane. They had a big harvest this year. What they took along this time were the two Chiq Qua (節瓜) they groew in their garden.
Not only you can see the two green Chiq Qua, one big and the other small, but also the Australian newspaper that wrapped them. They could be the "stars" of food in one of their meals at home.
The big Chiq Qua weighs 1.8 kg which is almost 4 pounds. What a strange thing to find a Chinese vegetable grown in Australia! They are fresh and inorganic. I guess I may have a chance to share! The orange next to them in the photo serves for comparison of its size with those of the two Chiq Qua.

Now that we have come back to Australia, we find that there are more than 10 big chiq quas waiting for us in the garden.
