Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

Last September, I saw this lovely film “in loose pieces” at Abby’s home in Canada. Abby loves watching this film with the DVD. She asked me for permission to watch it. With my consent and putting the DVD into the player, she operated everything by herself with the remote control.

The DVD film had been sliced into different sections. Here were the four sections she often played and watched.

[1] The very beginning of the film when German planes (in World War II) flew over London and air-raided it. The family went for shelter underground. The four children of the Pevensie family, Lucy, Edmund, Susan and Peter were sent away by their parents by train to a safer place away from London.

[2] Lucy found a wardrobe in an empty room. When she opened the wardrobe door and went in through the hanging coats, she walked out from the other side of the wardrobe to find a forest covered with heavy snow. There he met a half man and half animal, called Mr. Tumnus. They became friends. Tumnus told Lucy that she was in the country Narnia.

[3] Edmund followed his sister through the wardrobe into the land of Narnia, but lost sight of her. He met the white witch, Jadis, who cursed Narnia that it would always be winter, but never Christmas. The land was then populated by talking animals and ruled over by the benevolent (kind and helpful) lion god Aslan, but the world was in a state of perpetual winter.

[4] The battle scene Asian, the lion, with the four children (for the salvation of Narnia) against the white witch, Jadis, was really interesting because it was a battle between wild animals, such as a lion, leopards, bulls, half men and half horses, eagles, dwarfs, youths and a witch.

I was happy to see Abby enjoy watching the film. She jumped sections. That is why I never see the complete film until yesterday when it was on show in the Pearl network.
