Very funny and weird indeed but we have no idea, could only guess:

They were Chile miners trapped in the mine shafts for over a month.
Luckily they were rescued recently. None of them was injured.
Thank you, actually we were about to change our answer, having just read the Time magazine and seen the Chile national flag.
