From Rotorua to Waitomo

It was September 4^th, 2007. On the way from Rotorua to Waitomo, the road was very winding. Yin Ping and Ho Keung stopped before some of the cattle and sheep farms to take photos of these wonderful animals in New Zealand.

New Zealand is famous for its milk products – milk and butter. Thanks to the diary cattle. In the large photo, the beautiful cow had number cards at its ears. Maybe it was like our identity cards. The cards identified which farm and which family it belonged.

There were black patches on the body. The one here had a big patch which looked like the shape of North America. The cow looked really healthy and this guaranteed its milk to be good.

The sheep were leisurely eating the short grass on the low hills. They lived without competition for food and they lived together in families with young ones following close to their mother.
