Glory is so clever that she finds this strategic point at the top of the staircase leading to her master and mistress' room. There she can see the activities of the people in the sitting room or listen to every movement of people in the living room with the open kitchen. At the same time she can watch out for strangers outside the house by hearing. I guess she will react to the familiar engine sounds of her master or mistress by rushing downstairs to the door, barking a little to show that she is there and wagging her tail to welcome home her beloved master/ mistress. Maybe, I don’t know but I guess, when she hears some unfamiliar sounds and human voices that are new to her, she will dash down and be alert to find out what happens behind the door.
Another good point to be there is that she will be closer to her master’s room and the "drinking fountain" she usually goes. It is so warm to Felix and Audrey to have Glory greet them before their door. Although Glory cannot say “Good morning”or "Hello", a gentle bark will mean the same thing.

Glory can melt people's heart, sooo elegant and cute. She must be one of the most beautiful dogs in the world!
Dogs don't usually bark to their masters but wag their tails and run to them for affection, very touching indeed.
