Two Years Old

Yesterday, January 10th, was Abby’s Second Birthday. No doubt she wore beautiful clothes and had a special hair ring to wear.

When we arrived at her home, she was quite energetic. Dinner started at seven something. The big bowl of creamy macaronis with vegetables, sausages, chicken in soup was in Philippino style for Birthday. Other dishes of food were chicken wings and boiled vegetables.

At eight, when Tony arrived, a birthday cake was placed on the dining table. The birthday cake was the first target of my camera, next Abby with us and parents.

A candle was lighted for Abby to blow and the usual birthday song was sung. We were really happy to see Abby enjoy blowing the fire of the small candle out. I guessed Connie had the biggest blow at the burning candle. We cheered by clapping hands and Abby did clap her hands too. What a wonderful birthday celebration for Abby.

The Birthday Cake, made by Connie, was sliced up into pieces. This time the cake was very colourful, with purple icing sugar cream at the top, colourful “Smarties” which made up the big number “2” in the middle. The cake underneath had a delicious taste of banana and its texture was better than my birthday cake last time.

Happy Birthday to Abby! She and you guys must have had a wonderful birthday party already.

Take notice: It is declared that Abby has formally entered the "terrible two" period.

"Blueberry" beat "Banana" yesterday! There must be something wrong with my taste buds!

I wish Abby a happy birthday. It is always good to be the center of attention in the house, and I am sure Abby IS that kind of center of attention.

While you guys are talking about the cake.... The cake looks nice and is tentalizing. Somehow, at first sight, it kind of reminds me of something familiar but right now nothing really rings a bell .... Let me think about it.

Felix, you must be thinking about cakes made from chestnuts because they look very much like the birthday cake Abby was cutting.

The colours of the cakes are different. Here it is purple while a chestnut one is light brown.
