Mr. So’s Visit to Hong Kong (3) – My Old Students

Laughing faces again! Let me introduce my old students to you one by one.

We met at the Reunion Dinner for Mr. So.

In the large photo and first small photo, Lam Yim Ping, in red T-shirt, a good student in my 1A class (1970-71), suddenly appeared at our dinner table. Mr. So, Miss Winnie Wong and I went together to her to have a photo taken.

Yim Ping is an optimistic girl who is very easy-going. She always looks at the happy side of life and she respects her teachers. On that night, she was most delighted to meet her P. E. teacher, Miss Mak (Mrs. Lui). I guess she was one of Miss Mak favourite students on sports – our school basketball team member.

In the second small photo:

Chan Chun Chung was another good student in my 1A class (1970-71). He often carries a smile on his face. He likes CCSC so much that he dedicates some of his precious time to audit the treasure reports of the CCSC Parent and Teacher Association and attend various school activities such as Sports Days and Speech Day.

He often greets his teachers and talked with me and those he is familiar with. He has melted into our teachers’ sector because we often see him appear in our gatherings, lunches and dinners. We really welcome his presence. His devotion to school is really immense.

In the third small photo:

Lau Kam Chuen was a 1A student whom I taught in the first academic year in CCSC history (1969 – 70). He is good, polite and loyal to school. I am deeply impressed by his devotion to school. He helps a lot in maintaining good friendship among his classmates and keeps close contact with CCSC and its teachers. He likes to take photos and in recent years, videos of some of the gatherings of his classmates and teachers. So far he has kept a great many old and new photos of the life of CCSC and of his friends and teachers. I may call him a CCSC photo-librarian.

In the fourth small photo:

Wong Wai Bong was one of my Form 3 students in the school year 1969-70. He is kind, friendly and respects his teachers. He worked in CCSC for some time and left. Later, he found a job in the Water Works Department in the Government and worked up to now. In the past he joined various activities of the teaching staff at school. I remember that he was once a member of the Staff Basketball Team. He ran very fast and was one of the runners in the 4x100 metre Invitation Relay race between students and teachers. Thanks to him in taking as many as 200 photos for us on that night with Mr. So.
