If I don’t tell you what this building is, you may not know that it is the New building for Tai Po Hui Market and Cooked Food Centre (大埔墟街市及熟食中心).

In the past, markets in Hong Kong were hot (without air-conditioning), untidy, wet and dirty.

Time has changed everything. The most important thing is that nowadays new markets are air-conditioned with orderly and clean stalls.

People may buy meat, vegetables and other food and may eat comfortably in this multi-storey 21^st century designed building. They may stop for long here, say, taking lunch, chatting and buying food home for dinner.
